MEET THE SPARTANETTES
Since the foundation of the club in 2018, women have played a major part in shaping the club, with high numbers of participation regularly starting off with Social Volley. Eventually, this led to the creation of the women's team in 2019/20 competing in the Volleyball Ireland League in Division 2.
That season was abruptly halted due to Covid, which then led to a long absence from competitive volleyball for all clubs around Ireland.
With the restart of the Irish League in November 2021, The Spartan Ladies now find themselves in unchartered territory as they got promoted to Division 1, and competing against stronger opposition.
An additional 2 female club teams have been created this season, currently competing in Division 2 and Division 3 Development League.
Trainings take place every Wednesday 7 to 9pm at The Watershed Sports Centre, Kilkenny for Division 1 & 2 teams, while the Division 3 team train on Fridays 4:30 - 6.15pm.
